So i apologize for this late posting, but better late than never! I have had to move the date from my usual first full weekend in December to the second weekend in December!

It should also be noted that the sale will only be on Saturday December 8th and Sunday December 9th 10 - 5 both days! No Friday sale!

The date change is due to my new teaching position I started this fall! I'm really enjoying the new life change, after being in my studio full time for almost 12 years!

Needless to say after teaching all day I'm simply out of energy, I know your thinking Mark out of energy? I admit it takes my full attention as it should !

I have scheduled the dates and times for the one and only open studio of 2009. The dates and times are: December 4th 1 - 6. Saturday December 5th 10 - 6 and Sunday December 6th 12 - 5. This should be a fantastic time. An opportunity to visit with returning customers and to meet new ones. This is always a super relaxed time to look and purchase gifts! No mall stress at this location!

I will be in Winston - Salem this weekend for a 3 day show. This will be my first time in this show and the area. The show is indoor at the convention center downtown. There should be some fantastic crafts available including mine. Should you be in the area please come and see me.

I will be at the Dogwood Festival this weekend. They have let this great show back into Piedmont park and the weather looks fantastic. I wanted to let people who may want to see work between shows where they can find it. I always have work at the studio gallery. I usually have 50 - 60 pieces on hand at any given time.

I will be at the American Craft Council Atlanta show. The dates for this years show are March 13 - 15. For anyone in the Atlanta area this should be a great show. I will also be at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. This year it returns to Piedmont Park. I think everyone is excited to have the show back were it belongs. The dates for the show this year will be April 17 - 19. We will pray for good weather and huge crowds! Once booth assignments are made I will post the information.

I will be showing at the ACC CHARLOTTE show this year. I am very excited to be pat of this event. The work is a great cross section of American Crafts. Perspectives 2007 Georgia potters and Collectors, an exhibit and sale of hand made pots by 50 of Georgia's best potters. It starts with a gala opening on August 31, and continues through September 19, at the OCAF Center in quaint Watkinsville, Georgia. The first weekend includes two workshops with open studio tours of four Athens potters the following weekend. Please add this important event to your calender. The conference will focus on different firing options available to potters.This will be especially useful conference for anyone trying to decide whether to aquire a kiln and/or branch out into a new firing technique. The presenters will provide general information about firing methods along with a demonstration of throwing or handbuilding techniques that work best with the firing method. They will talk about the pros and cons of their firing methods. Discussions will center on the following types of firings: Salcu with Rick Berman, Cone 10 Ash Glazes with Mark Issenberg, Cone 6 Soda Firing with Mark Knott and Salt and Reduction Firing with Nan Rothwell. This conference is presented by the Potter Council and will be held in Duluth Georgia on Aug. 10, 11 and 12 at the Hudgens Center for the Arts. I will have a booth at the 2007 summerfest to be held in virginia highland neighbohood in downtown Atlanta the first weekend in June. Put a lid on it is a national juried exhibition to be held at the mudfire gallery in Decatur Ga. The show opens Saturday May 12th from 5:00 - 9:00 The show will include over 60 artists, contributing a dazzling variety of lidded forms for this large group show. Sure to be a great show!
